Archaeologist Emma Fielding is hired to consult on the acquisition of a castle-like estate that local legend states is cursed. But she finds herself in the middle of a murder case after discovering the body of the archaeologist she was hired to shadow in a secret chamber in the bowels of the huge building. Assisted by her friend, FBI special agent Jim Conner, Fielding must sift through clues and a long list of suspects, each of whom has their own reason for wanting the man dead, to determine who is the killer.

Kozono Yohei, secretary general of Shoto University, was found stabbed to death in his home. Hoshino Naoto, a detective at Fujimi Police Station, rushes to the scene and sees the scene of the murder in the living room. Tanimura Kaho, a lecturer at Shoto University's Department of International Studies, is trying to get ahead in life at any cost, and has been having an affair with Kozono, who holds the right to personnel affairs, for half a year. Kozono is murdered, and Kaho is arrested as a murderer. On the other hand, reporter Maruyama Sota receives information about the affair via anonymous email, and realizes that someone is trying to manipulate the impression of the incident, and begins his own investigation. In the midst of this, Hoshino feels uncomfortable with the investigative policy of the upper-level police, which concludes that Kaho is the culprit in a half-baked investigation, and eventually realizes that Kaho may have been framed by someone.

Ga-In’s (Hong Soo-A) family went into financial difficulties when she was a college student. One day, she happens to meet Eun-Jung (Lim Seong-Eon). They went to the same high school. Unlike Ga-In, Eun-Jung seems to have everything including a happy marriage life and stable job. Ga-In feels jealous of Eun-Jung and soon she becomes obsessed that she is Eun-Jung.

With no fish to catch, his other son Yee thinks about transforming the business. At the moment when their boat Victory is about to be abandoned, Fu meets a foreign boy Ruan who tells that the fish is still out there. Can’t resist the temptation, Captain Fu brings Yee and Ruan embarking on the journey to search for the giant swordfish. In their journey, Ruan encounters migrant workers, which triggers his memory as a wartime refugee. He recalls his dead mother’s words: “Never trust the people on the shore”. The obsessions that bring men to the sea eventually become their doom. Only one of them shall return.

A company of six people decides to go to a hut in the forest, but soon real evil joins them, and now the company will have to try hard to survive.
